Take your tone to 11 with the Lambertones Red Eye humbucker set

Here at Lambertones we specialize in "low-output" and "low-wind" humbuckers, essentially pickups that have exceptional clarity and articulation across the EQ spectrum. But over the last few years, we've been asked again and again and again and again to bring something with a little more heat to the party - and I'd like to introduce to you "the Red Eye".

Take Your Tone to 11 With the Lambertones Red Eye Humbucker Set

Don't get me wrong. The Red Eye isn't a high-gain humbucker; we aren't THAT wild. Instead I worked to create a platform that of tone that worked exceptionally well with more gain being the baseline resulting in a stable humbucker sound that you can push without worrying about a flubby low-end or loss of mids. We wound a mid-gain saturation that sits wide in your mix. There are more mids and more compression, always sitting on that edge of breakup, and when you dig in, there's a satisfying squash that makes the note feel alive.

The crazy part? Roll the volume back to 8 or pick lightly with your fingers, and it cleans up B-E-A-utifully and retains the Lambertones signature dynamic range and clarity response.

Folks love these for many reasons, but here are a few standout ones that I find particularly accurate:

1. Output vs Articulation

Despite being higher output pickups, the Red Eye maintains articulation and definition. You can achieve powerful sounds without sacrificing note separation and detail, meaning your tone AND notes will be heard in a mix.

2. Versatility & Clarity

Many reviewers appreciate the Red Eye's ability to handle a wide range of tones without losing clarity. They mention that these pickups deliver a dynamic sound that works well for both clean and overdriven settings.

3. Balance

Users frequently note the balanced tone of the Red Eye humbuckers. They have strong mids and powerful resonance, which make the pickups suitable for various music genres and helpful when playing with more than one other electric guitar player.

The Red Eye Review

I've had a few Les Paul's during my guitar journey and tried some different pickups in some of them along the way. I have a Gibson LP Standard 50's with (or that used to have) Gibson Burstbucker 1 in the neck and 2 in the bridge. I had Fishman Fluence Classic humbuckers in it for a few months too. As much as I loved the way the guitar played, the sound was good, but never completely satisfying. I popped the Red Eyes in one Sunday afternoon and, the character my ears had been craving... The Red Eyes had it. Clear, articulate, but with more girth. Read the product description of these, and what it says is what it does! I've had this guitar for about three amd a half years and have been the most satisfied with it since dropping the Red Eyes in.“- Ben R.
